Spyware maker pcTattletale says it’s ‘out of business’ and shuts down after data breach

pcTattletale, a commercial remote surveillance (stalkerware) app with roughly 138,000 customers, was hacked and its website defaced; attackers published links to large amounts of data from the vendor’s servers, including customer databases and an estimated 300+ million screenshots stored in AWS S3. The founder says the company is closed and the AWS account/servers were deleted or disabled, while the breach exposes severe privacy and safety risks for victims whose devices were monitored.
