Hacker claims to have 30 million customer records from Australian ticket seller giant TEG

A hacker posted alleged stolen customer data from TEG/Ticketek for sale on a forum, claiming details for roughly 30 million users (names, DOBs, emails and hashed passwords). TechCrunch validated samples and found some emails already in use; Mandiant and Snowflake are investigating related thefts that have affected multiple Snowflake customers. The exposure increases risk of credential stuffing and account takeover, with Snowflake attributing many incidents to compromised credentials and lack of multifactor authentication.
