Google updated Android (via Google Play services) to automatically restart a device if it has been locked for three consecutive days, intended to push it back into the more secure Before First Unlock state and hinder data extraction by forensic tools such as those from Cellebrite or Magnet Forensics, mirroring a similar feature Apple introduced last year. Google did not comment on the motivation behind the change.
