Instagram says there’s been ‘no breach’ despite password reset requests

Malwarebytes posted that personally identifiable information for 17.5 million Instagram accounts (usernames, addresses, phone numbers, emails, etc.) is being sold on the dark web after an alleged data theft; Instagram countered that it was not breached, stating it fixed an issue that allowed an external party to request password reset emails and advising users to ignore the emails.
