Sequoia backs Coana to help companies prioritise vulnerabilities using ‘code aware’ software analysis

Sequoia led a $1.6M pre-seed round for Denmark-based Coana, which is building a code-aware software composition analysis tool that constructs application-wide call graphs and applies static analysis to filter out irrelevant alerts by determining whether known vulnerabilities in third-party libraries are actually reachable in a given codebase; initially focused on JavaScript with early paying customers, the company plans to add Java and Python support and move upmarket over time.
