1Password announced the acquisition of Kolide, an endpoint security platform built on Osquery that enforces contextual access by checking device health at authentication and guiding users to self-remediate via Slack. Kolide’s entire 30-person team, including founder Jason Meller as VP of Product, will join 1Password to enhance device-aware access controls for hybrid work. The move follows prior acquisitions (SecretHub, Passage) and comes amid strong growth for 1Password (>$250M ARR, >100,000 organizations), with plans to expand hiring by 250 roles.
