USPS shared customer postal addresses with Meta, LinkedIn and Snap

TechCrunch found that the U.S. Postal Service's Informed Delivery webpages were leaking logged-in users' postal addresses, package tracking numbers, and some in-transit location data to advertising and tech platforms (including Meta, LinkedIn, Snap, Bing, Google, and others) via embedded tracking pixels and analytics code; USPS stated it was unaware of the configuration, has stopped the practice, and declined to detail remediation or whether it will request deletion of shared data.
