AI security firm, depthfirst, announces $40 million Series A

Depthfirst, an AI-native cybersecurity startup founded in October 2024, raised $40M in a Series A led by Accel to scale its General Security Intelligence platform, which scans codebases and workflows for risks, protects against credential exposure, and monitors open-source and third-party threats. Positioned to counter increasing AI-enabled attacks, the company is led by CEO Qasim Mithani with leaders from Square and Google DeepMind, and reports partnerships with AngelList, Lovable, and Moveworks.
