Bugcrowd, the crowdsourced white-hat hacker platform, acquires Informer to ramp up its security chops

Bugcrowd has made its first acquisition by buying Informer, a UK-based attack surface management specialist, integrating its technology, customers, and team (including founder Marios Kyriacou) to bring ASM capabilities natively into Bugcrowd’s platform. The move aims to reduce reliance on partners, improve margins, and support a broader consolidation strategy amid industry shifts, reflecting growing demand for better visibility into organizations’ external assets and attack surfaces.
