European police email 75,000 people asking them to stop DDoS attacks

Europol led Operation PowerOFF against DDoS-for-hire services, seizing servers and infrastructure, taking down 53 domains, executing 24 search warrants, making four arrests, and sending warning notices to more than 75,000 suspected users of the services; the report highlights that DDoS-for-hire remains a common, easy-to-use threat capable of significant disruption.
