European authorities arrested the alleged administrator of XSS.is and seized the forum domain; intercepted Jabber messages revealed illicit cybercrime and ransomware activity and helped identify at least $7 million in proceeds. The closed-access forum — with over 50,000 registered users — was a major marketplace for selling stolen data and hacking tools, and seized data will support ongoing investigations, Europol said.
