Spyware app pcTattletale was hacked and its website defaced

pcTattletale, a U.S.-made consumer stalkerware app, was breached and internal data — including stolen screenshots from infected devices and links to operational files — was published on its own site; a security researcher had earlier reported a screenshot-leaking vulnerability that the vendor ignored, and the breach may have exposed AWS keys and other sensitive backend data, compounding harm to victims and enabling further misuse of the spyware.
