Proton picks up Standard Notes to deepen its pro-privacy portfolio

Proton has acquired Standard Notes, expanding its privacy-focused, open-source product ecosystem with an E2EE note-taking app while pledging to keep Standard Notes independent, open source, and price-stable. The companies plan future account interoperability and collaboration across engineering teams to enhance Proton’s suite (mail, calendar, storage, VPN, and password manager) and advance their mission of privacy-by-default; financial terms were not disclosed.
