Dell discloses data breach of customers’ physical addresses

Dell notified customers that a portal database containing names, physical addresses, and Dell hardware/order information was accessed; the company said no email addresses, phone numbers, payment data, or other highly sensitive information were exposed. A post on a hacking forum claimed a dataset of roughly 49 million customer records dating from 2017–2024 was being offered for sale; Dell is investigating and has not disclosed scope or root cause.
