Salt Typhoon, a China-linked APT cluster, conducted a global espionage campaign compromising Cisco edge routers and telecom/internet providers to steal tens of millions of phone records, text messages, and captured phone audio from senior officials; the group also manipulated surveillance devices and accessed law-enforcement interception tools, impacting more than 200 companies and multiple governments across the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania.
