TechCrunch obtained and verified a cache of files from a breach of Spytech, a Minnesota-based maker of remote access/stalkerware (Realtime-Spy, SpyAgent). The leaked, unencrypted logs show the spyware has been used to monitor over 10,000 devices (Windows, Android, macOS, Chromebooks) since 2013, including precise geolocation and activity data; the report highlights global victim clusters, legal risks around non-consensual monitoring, and partial notification efforts (Have I Been Pwned).
