Law firm that handles data breaches was hit by data breach

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe suffered a March 2023 network intrusion that resulted in theft of a file share containing sensitive data for over 637,000 people — including PII, government ID numbers (SSNs, passports, driver licenses), medical treatment and claims information, healthcare identifiers, and account/financial credentials — affecting multiple insurer clients and prompting class-action litigation and a settlement.
