Cyberattack knocks Mobile Guardian MDM offline and wipes thousands of student devices

A cyberattack on Mobile Guardian, a U.K.-based educational MDM provider, resulted in unauthorized access that unenrolled and remotely wiped enrolled iOS and ChromeOS devices, causing global outages and preventing students and staff from accessing files. Singapore reported roughly 13,000 student devices across 26 secondary schools were wiped; affected organisations are removing the software and investigating while Mobile Guardian’s platform remains inaccessible to users.
