Singapore’s government attributed a months-long cyber-espionage campaign against its four largest telecom firms (Singtel, StarHub, M1, and Simba Telecom) to UNC3886, a China-linked APT. The attackers exploited zero-day vulnerabilities in routers, firewalls, and virtualized environments and deployed advanced tools such as rootkits to gain persistent access; the intrusions reached some critical systems but did not disrupt services or expose personal data.
