Critical infrastructure giant Itron says it was hacked

Itron, a major energy-technology provider supplying internet-connected utility meters to over 110 million homes and businesses, disclosed a mid-April cyber intrusion in which attackers accessed some of its internal systems. The company says it expelled the intruder, has seen no further intrusions, continues operations in all material respects, and has notified law enforcement, though it has not specified whether data was exfiltrated or ransomware was involved.
