NIST wants to outfit the National Vulnerability Database with AI

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has issued a Request for Information seeking input on how to leverage artificial intelligence to modernize its National Vulnerability Database (NVD), aiming to address challenges such as growing volume and complexity of reported vulnerabilities, variable data quality, and the rise of AI-assisted vulnerability discovery; NIST said the RFI is not a response to any specific executive action or the Gold Eagle initiative.
