ShinyHunters claims FBI data theft, demands bureau retract cyber warning

ShinyHunters claims to have compromised FBI systems and exfiltrated sensitive personal data on nearly 5,000 employees and job applicants, allegedly via a previously unknown PeopleSoft vulnerability and access to AWS GovCloud; the group demanded the FBI retract a public advisory and threatened to publish addresses and other data. The FBI is investigating and the claims have not been independently verified, but if authentic the exposure poses serious operational and safety risks to personnel and could indicate a widely exploitable PeopleSoft zero-day.
