Microsoft Open-Sources RAMPART and Clarity to Secure AI Agents During Development

Microsoft published two open-source tools to improve AI agent safety: RAMPART, a Pytest-native framework for writing and running adversarial and benign safety/security tests (building on PyRIT), and Clarity, a structured “thinking partner” to help teams clarify design intent and assumptions before building systems; the goal is to make red-teaming reproducible, capture design decisions early, and turn findings into runnable engineering assets.
