Fake IPTV Apps Spread Massiv Android Malware Targeting Mobile Banking Users

Researchers disclosed Massiv, an Android banking trojan distributed via IPTV-mimicking dropper apps that targets users in countries including Portugal and Greece; it abuses Android accessibility, UI-tree traversal and MediaProjection to perform screen streaming, overlays, keylogging, SMS interception and full remote device takeover to conduct financial theft and account fraud, and shows signs of active development and possible future MaaS features.
