URGENT - Progress Tells ShareFile Customers to Shut Down Storage Zone Controllers Over Security Threat

Progress Software instructed ShareFile Storage Zone Controller customers to take Windows controllers offline on July 10, 2026 in response to a "credible external security threat." The company temporarily disabled access for affected accounts and advised customers to preserve logs and follow incident response steps; on July 14 Progress released patches for a high-severity vulnerability affecting 5.x and 6.x and said there is no evidence of unauthorized access.
