MITRE Unveils EMB3D: A Threat-Modeling Framework for Embedded Devices

MITRE has published EMB3D, a living threat-modeling framework for embedded devices in critical infrastructure that catalogs device-specific threats and maps suggested technical mitigations for vendors to adopt during design. The framework, developed with industry partners, aims to promote secure-by-design devices, reduce post-deployment "bolt-on" security, and help manufacturers better understand and mitigate evolving threats to OT/IoT environments.
