Police Arrest 16-Year-Old Suspected of Running KillSec, Seize Ransomware Leak Site and Servers

Police and international partners dismantled KillSec's infrastructure and arrested multiple suspects alleged to run the ransomware/data-extortion group; authorities seized servers, domains and over 110 TB of data, and linked the group to roughly 1,000 suspected attacks (about 500 confirmed successful), substantial ransom payments, and a shift to a ransomware-as-a-service affiliate model while using vulnerabilities, cloud misconfigurations, purchased credentials and AI to find and exploit victims.
