U.S. Dismantles World's Largest 911 S5 Botnet with 19 Million Infected Devices

The U.S. DOJ announced the takedown of 911 S5, a global residential-proxy botnet of roughly 19 million infected devices used to lease proxied IPs to criminals for financial fraud, identity theft, child exploitation, bomb threats, and export violations; alleged operator YunHe Wang was arrested and charged, assets and infrastructure were seized, and OFAC sanctions were applied as part of a multinational enforcement action.
