CERT-In Mandates 12-Hour Patching for Internet-Facing Flaws Amid AI-Assisted Attacks

CERT-In published a 38‑page blueprint warning that AI and large language models can accelerate discovery and exploitation of vulnerabilities, urging organisations to adopt rapid, risk-based patching (including remediating known exploited internet-facing critical vulnerabilities within 12 hours where feasible) and layered defensive measures (Zero Trust, defense-in-depth, SBOMs, exposure reduction, monitoring, red teaming) to mitigate AI-assisted cyber threats.
