Weedhack Attacks Minecraft Users, CountLoader Hits 86K, Miners Spread via Pirated Content

Weedhack is a Minecraft-targeted malware-as-a-service distributed via SEO-poisoned YouTube videos and malicious JARs that harvests credentials, establishes persistence, and offers remote-access capabilities through an enterprise-style dashboard and Telegram support; McAfee observed thousands of malicious JARs and hundreds of distribution URLs. Separately, CountLoader — a JavaScript loader spread via cracked software sites and USB propagation — has compromised an estimated 86,000 machines and deployed cryptocurrency clippers, while pirated streaming sites continue to deliver a DLL side‑loading cryptocurrency miner with RAT and persistence components.
