Researchers Warn of Flaws in Widely Used Industrial Gas Analysis Equipment

Multiple critical vulnerabilities were disclosed in Emerson Rosemount gas chromatographs (GC370XA, GC700XA, GC1500XA) running firmware <=4.1.5 that allow unauthenticated remote command execution, authentication bypass leading to admin access, and information disclosure/DoS; Claroty and CISA published advisories and Emerson issued firmware updates, and the disclosure highlights additional high-risk OT and medical device flaws from other vendors.
