When Identity is the Attack Path

This contributed article warns that identities — including cached credentials, overprivileged roles, and non‑human identities (AI agents/service accounts) — are increasingly the primary attack path in hybrid environments; it shows how chained identity exposures across endpoints, Active Directory, and cloud can let attackers escalate from a single compromised identity to critical assets and argues existing isolated identity tools fail to map and remediate these attack paths.
