Defending Your Commits From Known CVEs With GitGuardian SCA And Git Hooks

This contributed article explains Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and demonstrates how GitGuardian's ggshield CLI can be used locally and as a pre-commit Git hook to detect known vulnerable open-source dependency versions before commits, enabling developers to "shift left" vulnerability detection and avoid introducing CVEs into projects.
