Trend Micro and allied government advisories attribute a recent Asia‑Pacific intrusion campaign to the APT known as BlackTech/Earth Hundun, which uses advanced modular backdoors (Waterbear and Deuterbear), firmware modification of routers to maintain persistence and pivot across networks, DLL side‑loading, and various evasion techniques including anti‑memory scanning and HTTPS‑protected C2 communications.
