Identity Lifecycle Management Wasn't Built for AI Agents 

This article explains that conventional HR-driven identity lifecycle management and IGA tools were designed for human principals and therefore fail to govern autonomous AI agents, which lack joiner/mover/leaver events, can expand scope at runtime, and spawn parallel instances with uncorrelated credentials. It recommends extending lifecycle management with continuous discovery across cloud and deployment surfaces, agent-centric attribute modeling, policy-driven provisioning, continuous behavioral monitoring, and operationally triggered deprecation workflows, and describes how Orchid Security provides visibility, an identity graph for agents, and guardrails to close the governance gap.
