Google will no longer trust TLS server authentication certificates issued by Entrust (and AffirmTrust) in Chrome 127+ by default beginning around November 1, 2024, citing publicly disclosed compliance and security failures by Entrust; affected websites will show security interstitials and are urged to replace certificates before October 31, 2024. Entrust acknowledges the issues and says it is making organizational and process changes while engaging with browser root programs to mitigate customer impact.
