E-Root Marketplace Admin Sentenced to 42 Months for Selling 350K Stolen Credentials

A Moldovan national, Sandu Boris Diaconu, was sentenced to 42 months in the U.S. for operating the E-Root Marketplace, an illicit platform that sold over 350,000 compromised credentials (including RDP and SSH access) which facilitated ransomware attacks and identity/tax fraud; the marketplace used obfuscating infrastructure and alternative payment methods (Perfect Money/Bitcoin) and was seized by law enforcement, with the operator arrested, extradited, and convicted.
