Killnet: The Hactivist Group That Started A Global Cyber War

Killnet is a pro‑Russia hacktivist group that has transitioned from selling a DDoS tool to operating organized ‘Legion’ squads that recruit on Telegram and launch coordinated Layer 3/4 and Layer 7 DDoS campaigns against nations supporting Ukraine and NATO members; attacks have targeted government, financial, transportation, law enforcement and tech sectors, were publicly announced on Telegram, peaked around 40 Gbps and lasted for hours, and associated IoCs (IP lists) have been published to enable defensive blocking.
