Cryptocurrency Attacks to be Aware of in 2021

This report summarizes common cryptocurrency-targeting attack vectors observed on cybercriminal forums in 2021 — reverse-proxy phishing (session hijacking to bypass 2FA), cryptojacking (hidden/miner malware and web-based miners), cryptocurrency clipping (clipboard wallet-address substitution), and dusting (deanonymization) — and provides practical mitigations such as hardware security keys, antivirus, browser miner blockers, cautious handling of links, and generating new wallet addresses per transaction.
