Red Teams Find the Assumptions Behind Security Failures

This article argues that effective red teaming requires challenging assumptions, fostering collaborative relationships with defenders, and expanding assessments beyond technical teams to include finance, HR, legal, and physical security; it emphasizes early and frequent adversarial review to influence decisions before deployment and highlights cultural as well as technical factors in realizing red team value.
