ALPHV Ransomware Site Outage: What’s Going On?

ALPHV/BlackCat’s data-leak site experienced extended outages and a contested FBI takedown in December 2023; despite intermittent seizure notices the group reclaimed parts of its infrastructure and continued posting victims while law enforcement reportedly helped up to 500 victims with a decryption tool. The disruption is likely to cause short-term global ransomware disruption, potential recovery of assets/keys, and affiliate migration to other ransomware programs, but ALPHV remained at least partially operational during the reporting period.
