Why Prioritizing Isn’t Enough: The Critical Role of Validation in Exposure Management

This document advocates for continuous, automated security validation to maintain real-time exposure management, reduce false positives, and ensure detections are effective; it outlines three validation layers—continuous validation (BAS), integration and automation, and detection engineering—and promotes GreyMatter as a platform to validate detection rules, close gaps, and streamline remediation.
