Wiz announces WizOS, a hardened, minimal Linux-based container image suite designed to reduce inherited base-image vulnerabilities and streamline secure software delivery. Built with reproducible pipelines, signed provenance, and glibc compatibility, WizOS serves as a drop-in replacement for Alpine-like images, enabling standardized controls, fewer blocked builds, and reduced noise from scanners. Following internal rollout and validation across CI/CD, Wiz reports near-zero critical/high base-image CVEs, smaller images, faster deployments, and improved visibility within Wiz, with the offering now in private preview for customers.
