Arch Linux is experiencing a sustained DDoS attack since August 20 that has intermittently degraded or disrupted access to the main website, AUR, and community forums. The volunteer DevOps team and hosting provider are coordinating mitigations (traffic filtering, increased mirror capacity, preserving logs) and publishing status updates; users are advised to use alternative mirrors and verify ISO signatures while a post‑mortem and potential long‑term DDoS protections are evaluated.
