New Research and PoC Reveal Coding Risks with LLMs

This report details a security misconfiguration where a publicly accessible JavaScript file exposed a mail API endpoint with hard-coded parameters, allowing anyone to POST requests and send arbitrary emails as the application; it includes a proof-of-concept curl command, enumerates impacts (spam, phishing, reputational damage), and recommends mitigations such as moving sensitive logic server-side, enforcing schema validation and rate limiting, and integrating security reviews into AI-assisted development workflows.
