Spyware-as-a-Service Platform Enables Rebranding and Resale Of Android Malware

Researchers at Certo analyzed an Android surveillance tool named KidsProtect, a spyware-as-a-service that offers subscription access and white-label reseller plans. The app leverages a parental-control disguise, requests broad permissions (location, microphone, camera, SMS, accessibility), implements anti-uninstall and boot persistence, and can record calls, stream audio, capture keystrokes, read messages, and remotely control cameras — enabling scalable stalking and abuse when resold under different brands.
