Microsoft Teams for Android Now Supports Third-Party Meetings via SIP

Microsoft will add native SIP support to Teams Rooms on Android to allow conference room devices to join third-party meetings (e.g., Zoom, Webex) directly from the Teams interface. The feature, tracked as Roadmap ID 558539, requires a Teams Rooms Pro license, is slated for general availability in June 2026, and will be deployed across commercial and government clouds while preserving existing Teams security and compliance controls.
