Google Boosts Android Security With AI-Powered Protections

Google announced a broad set of AI-driven security and privacy improvements for Android across versions 11–17, including verified financial calls to block spoofing, expanded Live Threat Detection for real-time app behavior analysis, dynamic signal monitoring and remotely updated detection rules in Android 17, APK scanning in Chrome, enhanced theft protections and Intrusion Logging, temporary location controls and a revamped contact picker, plus post-quantum cryptography and OS verification to ensure device integrity.
