Since March 2026, six exiled Belarusian news outlets and a journalists' association have been targeted by persistent DDoS attacks reportedly tied to Belarusian authorities seeking to suppress political reporting. A large-scale attack on Pozirk generated over 14 billion requests from more than 31,000 IP addresses, causing near-total outage despite Cloudflare mitigation; affected outlets have added defensive measures (CAPTCHAs, stronger verification) and continue to bolster protections.
