Nation-State Hack Targets Australian Critical Infrastructure

ASIO reported that nation-state actors compromised the network of an Australian critical infrastructure provider, stealing user and IT credentials and mapping the environment in preparation for potential sabotage; the activity is part of a broader regional campaign attributed to a specific nation-state, and ASIO has formed response teams, is assisting remediation, and disrupted a related espionage attempt targeting AUKUS.
